Pictured below is a square pyramid skylight with a HeatBlocker installed to reduce skylight heat and skylight glare. In addition to square pyramid skylights there are rectangular pyramid skylights. 

 

Pyramid skylights are made up of 4 triangles. A square pyramid has the same base and triangle height measurements on all 4 sides. A rectangular pyramid skylight has 2 sets of measurements. The triangles opposite or mirroring each other have the same base and height measurements that are different from the other 2 sides.
