Reduce skylight heat and glare from the sun by installing the HeatBlocker skylight cover. All flat skylights
require custom HeatBlockers.
Pictured below is a rectangular flat skylight with a HeatBlocker installed to
reduce skylight heat and skylight glare.
Square flat skylights have the same length and width.
Rectangular
flat skylights have a different length and width.
Always measure the length and width of the flat glass skylight
across the center of the skylight lens and include the top surface of the metal frame. A few flat glass skylights have
beveling or stair stepping on the top surface of the frame that should be included in the length and width measurements.
The
lip (C measurement) is the depth of the skylight metal frame. If any flashing sticks up above the skylight frame on
one end add that to the C measurement.
The HeatBlocker can increase skylight comfort and decrease air conditioning
costs during the summer months.
